Mid-Level Designer II at Intrepid Studios

I work closely with environment art, narrative, systems, and engineering teams to integrate POIs into the broader world framework, ensuring each location supports player progression, systemic gameplay, and long-term replayability. My work frequently involves problem-solving around verticality, sightlines, traversal routes, and player agency within both open-world and instanced spaces.

For this portfolio, I am showcasing four representative POIs, selected to demonstrate a breadth of biome-specific design challenges and solutions:

  • Church of the Seven Stars — Riverlands Biome

  • Coral Grotto — Turquoise Sea

  • Shatterbelt Mineshaft — Anvils Biome

  • Befallen Forge — Riverlands Dungeon

Each case study highlights my approach to biome language, spatial composition, traversal pacing, and encounter framing. While I have contributed to additional regions—including Jundark (jungle) and Sandsquall (desert) biomes—these selected locations best illustrate my design process, decision-making, and consistency across Ashes of Creation’s world. Through my work at Intrepid, I have strengthened my ability to design scalable, player-focused content within a live MMO production environment, emphasizing collaboration, iteration, and long-term world sustainability.
